Oct. 8  8th Annual Pryor Wellbriety Powwow, Mid-American Expo Center in Pryor, Oklahoma. This event is in memory of Ellis Carnes and Leona Mae Roberson.  This years head staff will be: MC-George Coser, Headman-John Arkeketa, Headlady-Lacie Wynn, Head Gourd Dancer-Dusty Billie, Head Singer-KC Bills, Arena Director-Jess Robedeaux and Host Color Guard-Choctaw Nation Color Guard.  The contest categories will be Men’s Fancy, Men’s Traditional, Women’s Cloth and Tiny Tots. Oct. 13 (Thursday) Li'l Feathers Benefit Powwow, West Lake Jr. High School, 3400 South 3450 West, West Valley City, UT 84119.  ALL DRUMS AND GENERAL PUBLIC WELCOME.  Grand Entry @ 5:30 p.m. (ends @ 9:00 p.m.).  Come hungry!  Come ready to dance!  Come buy a cake walk plate or all!  Cake walk, round dance, door prizes, potato dance, two-step, dance specials.  Food Sale: Navajo Tacos, Navaburgers, Frybread, etc.  Please come and support our Native American Youth in raising funds for annual events, activities and meetings to encourage knowledge in cultural heritage and traditions.  The excitement and interest of the students is evident by their attendance to the weekly Li'l Feathers meeting where songs, drumming, dancing, other cultural heritage/traditions and education is taught and supported.  In return, the students are eager to demonstrate and teach others what they have learned by performing in local areas (another fundraising opportunity for them).  The students and parents of the Li'l Feathers Granite School District Title VII program voluntarily donate time and efforts because each one believe in a bright future.  Powwow & Vendor Contact Info:  Facebook:  Mis Jelly, Emberson Bill or Lilfeathers Titleseven.  Michelle 801-897-9232.  Emerson 801-973-0108.
